Having performed on over three hundred gold and platinum albums, it's safe to say Wayne knows all the ingredients it takes to stir up a hit record. But three and a half decades crammed full of concert tours left little time to think about sharing his expertise with others as a producer.

Until, that is, the day fan and friend, Dave Duffield, called to ask if Wayne would work as executive producer of his band's next record. Delighted to expand his horizons, Wayne squeezed in time last year in between Robert Cray's rehearsals and tour to lend his talent to Kansas City Brass & Electric. Together they came up with an album called "Tell Me What You Want." It has been critically acclaimed and is selling well over the Internet.

"Throughout the years, I produced Mar-Keys and Memphis Horns records along with some other bands, but I was always in a hurry to get back to my own performing career. Now that the heavy touring is slowing down a bit, I have enough time to focus on someone else's career. And that's what production is, giving your time over to someone else's career."
